Mock Afghan village

Photographer Johannes Simon (Johannes Simon) from the Associated Press interested in how NATO forces prepare for military operations in Asia, in particular, how they are trained before being sent to Afghanistan. Johannes Simon went to the range of NATO forces in Hoenfels (Hohenfels), Bavaria, Germany. At the time of filming at the site were the teachings of men of the 173th Airborne Brigade USA, which is stationed at a military base in Vicenza, Italy. Curiously, for the preparation of the soldiers at the site was built the present village. Villagers played by actors dressed in national costumes.
