Just two weeks balloonist Austrian Felix Baumgartner will attempt to accelerate to supersonic speed during a jump from a height of 37 kilometers. The jump, which will be made of a special capsule, raised on a huge balloon filled with helium, will be held on October 8 in the U.S..
His sponsors manufacturer of energy drinks Red Bull. The athlete will be flying to the ground in a special suit and it is assumed that 30 seconds of free fall, he will develop a supersonic speed.
Suit, in which Felix Baumgartner has jumped from a height above a little over 28 km. If the jump is successful, Baumgartner will break the previous record set in 1960, when Joseph Kittinger jumped from a height of 31 kilometers.
